Introducing the 2010 Middle Georgia Junior Golf Tour

Presented by Krag's Golf "Providing a Competitive and Affordable Golfing Experience for Junior Golfers of All Levels." This is the mission the statement for the Middle Georgia Junior Golf Tour. PGA Golf Professionals Krag Woodyard and Bill Goggin have created a competitive and affordable junior golf tour here in Middle Georgia. Junior golfers' will have the opportunity to compete locally, learn the rules, etiquette of golf and have fun in the process. Thanks to the support of local owners and PGA Professionals, the Middle Georgia Junior Golf Tour will conduct 10 local tournaments from March – November of 2010. These one day events are being hosted by the following facilities; Waterford Golf Club, International City, Perry Country Club, Landings Golf Club and Southern Hills Golf Club, Uchee Trail, Houston Lake CC, Oak View CC. Tournaments will be played using a point system instead of the traditional stroke play tournaments played on other junior tours across the state. The point system allows different levels of junior golfers' the opportunity to compete fairly against one another. The points system works like this: Players will play their own ball on each hole using the following points system. Ages 6 to 18.

  • 6 points = Eagle
  • 4 points = Birdie
  • 2 points = Par
  • 1 point = Bogey
  • ½ point = double bogey
  • Any score higher than a double bogey on a hole, player must pick up and proceed to the next hole.
