Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course

Designed by architect Denis Griffiths and listed on Golf Digest magazine’s list of four star-rated courses, Georgia Veterans Memorial Golf Course rests quietly on the shores of Lake Blackshear. Expertly placed mounds, water hazards, and plenty of sand bunkers define the holes and enhance the challenge. The Dwarf Bermuda greens are large and sloping and wide Tif 419 fairways wind through mounds and stands of tall loblolly pines. This golf experience is truly the best value in the south.

Green Acres is approximately 153 acres of beautiful tall Georgia pine trees. Live oak trees are also plentiful here in the Middle Georgia area. Our golf course offers a real challenge to the duffer as well as to the seasoned golfer. We offer rolling hills and undulating fairways. Tucked in and surrounded by these trees are 18 beautiful greens of all sizes and shapes guarded by bunkers which will offer a challenge to anyone. We have three beautiful ponds to enhance our club.

A FY03 $1.3M greens upgrade features 45 percent larger greens with Tift Eagle Grass and new greenside bunkers and surrounds. This upgrade makes Pine Oaks Golf Course the most desirable golf course in the Middle Georgia area for hosting tournament play. The golfer will find this par 71 golf course very challenging due to the well placed bunkers, challenging greens, and narrow tree lined fairways.

Wallace Adams Course has breathtaking surroundings and impeccable conditioning. With loblolly pines, magnolias and willows line the broad Tif 419 Bermuda fairways. The newer front side is a bit tight and demands shotmaking skills, while the older back nine is more open and presents its challenge via doglegs and smaller more sloped Tif Dwarf Bermuda greens. On-site lodge and restaurant make this a true golf destination.
